Any multinational corporations in Laos?

Postby AhoyMcCoy » Mon Jun 15, 2015 7:43 am

Hello

Do you know if there are any multinational corporations in Laos? It's not that I am going to apply for a job or anything, I'm just curious, and want to know :)

These days there are more multinational companies opening in Laos than ever before. Because,

1) the government has opened Laos for foreign investments (although they actually did that many years ago),
2) labour in Laos is cheap,
3) the internet makes it easy to run a business from anywhere in the world,
4) ASEAN helps the nations of South East Asia to strengthen their trade (like EU does for Europe).

Some of the big players are Huawei (mobile/telecom) and Charoen Pokphand Group (food). Maybe someone out there actually has a list of companies?
