Here are some of the news making headlines in September, 2015.

Luang Prabang introduces electric buses in response to pollution challenges. 34 electric mini-buses will soon hit the streets of Luang Prabang to help reduce the increasing problems with pollution. If project is succesful it might spread to Vientiane and Chapassak provinces. Read more.

Direct flights between Laos and India to be allowed. Laos has signed an agreement with India to allow flights between the two countries. This is believed to have a positive impact on Lao economy, as more Indian investments are expected in the country. Read more.

Thai fans start a fight at Lao football match. During a football match held at a stadium in Vientiane, Thai fans started a fight with police. Incidents like these are not to be tolerated in the future says Lao officials. Read more.
